Privacy policy

This explains what Sitaara keeps, why, and for how long. Sitaara is run by [YOUR FULL NAME], [CITY, STATE], India.
What we keep
The card you make: the names, dates, city and time of birth, messages, memories, treasure hunt clue and reveal, photos and voice note. The treasure hunt's secret word is stored only as a one-way fingerprint, so nobody can read it back.
Payment records: the payment and order numbers and the amount. Razorpay handles the payment itself; we never receive your card, UPI or bank details. See Razorpay's privacy policy for what they keep.
Protection against abuse: a scrambled, one-way version of your internet address, used only to stop spam and repeated tries. We cannot turn it back into your address.
What stays on your own phone
While you make a card, your typed text is saved in your browser so it is not lost if the page reloads. Photos and the voice note stay on your phone until you pay. A letter written inside a card to "next year's you" is kept only in that phone's browser and never reaches us.
Why we keep it
Only to show the card to the people who open its link, to let you edit it, to keep payment records, and to stop abuse. We do not sell your information, show ads, or use your photos or voice for anything else.
Who can see a card
Anyone who has its link. Links are long random codes that cannot be guessed, but anyone you forward a link to can open the card.
How long
Cards, photos and voice notes are deleted 6 months after payment. Cards that were never paid for are deleted within 2 days. Payment records are kept as long as Indian tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your card at any time by writing to [YOUR EMAIL] with the card's link. We reply within 7 days.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The site uses your browser's storage only for the draft and letter described above.
